That new background is a family that I work with's house. This is probably the hardest year of my life and the first year that I have ever had to try so hard to achieve a goal. I am sure it is because my past goals didn't have too much to do with running a business and more to do with school and sports. Either way I am learning what it means to be a struggling adult in this economy.

Well I have had some major set back with my new child care business and I am trying really hard not to let that get me down. I do have an amazing husband that is lifting me up so I can keep pushing for the things I want to achieve and he helps me so much. Things are definitely harder than I thought they would be, but maybe it will make success that much sweeter.

Things are getting better with my business, I am acquiring more reliable parents to work with. You would think that in the child care industry that the person providing the care would be more likely to be "unreliable", but as it turns out I have been stood up for care more than 4 times in a single week and get this...by different parents. So, I am really just left quite disappointed and rather shocked at how carelessly these parents undertake child care for their own children. If they don't show up what makes them so sure that I will when they need me to come over to there out or when they need me at my house and they have an emergency? I mean wow, I was just pretty taken back by how un-phased they are at leaving me waiting for hours for them to show up. I think it is time to develop a thicker skin and just let it go. I just never knew this kind of thing happened, I have worked in this field for 8 years and this is new to me so we will see if it continues.

Flash was super bright from some reason...

Lately I have been very busy with my new business and trying to get it off the ground. So far I have had some success however, there are more flakes in the world than I had previously thought. I am in the look out for some responsible and reliable people to work with and so far I have nearly come up empty handed. Let's hope tomorrow is a brighter day.

Too Busy Cleaning my House

So I had some new people interview for my day care and I think it is going to work out. I am really excited about it, my day care is filling up and I see this working really well long term. I can't wait to tell my husband all of my good news!

I have so many things going on in my house, I rebuilt the framing for my bed because the framing cracked within the first month of having bought it and it wasn't cheap, so I wasn't too thrilled about spending another $180 to fix it all. Now the bed is great and my husband was really proud of me because I did this all while he was at work. I went to Home Depot got the pieces of wood I wanted, got them cut to size, I bought all of the bolts, washers, nuts, and tools I needed. I went home and made it happen. It was really exciting, this is the first home improvement project I have ever done without my Father since I live with my husband in a different state, I think he would approve.
